Two healthy dogs were found alone in the parking lot near Temescal Canyon Road, around 10 p.m.
A beach bag with a swimsuit, dog food and a sunshade was found in a nearby restroom.
An eyewitness reported seeing a woman with these two dogs in that same restroom.
Both dogs were well groomed and wore matching, expensive harnesses. Neither was microchipped.

I am writing regarding LAPD Report #26148091 - the unresolved circumstances surrounding two dogs found at Will Rogers State Beach on July 9, 2026, and the unidentified woman believed to be connected to them.

I understand LAPD's Missing Persons Unit is handling this report. I am asking your office to personally review the matter, because there is growing public concern that it requires greater urgency and greater visibility.

Two healthy, well-cared-for dogs were found without their owner, and belongings believed to be hers were discovered nearby. A month later, we still do not know who she is or whether she is safe.

I respectfully ask your office to conduct a command-level review, determine whether greater at-risk urgency is warranted, issue a public appeal to identify her, and ensure time-sensitive evidence is preserved.

Unidentified woman, Will Rogers State Beach - LAPD Report #26148091

On July 9, 2026, two healthy, well-groomed dogs were found alone at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades. A beach bag with a swimsuit, dog food and a sunshade was found in a nearby restroom. An eyewitness reported seeing a woman with these dogs in that restroom.

A month later she has not been identified. LAPD's Missing Persons Unit is investigating under Report #26148091. The story has aired locally in Los Angeles but never nationally - and the person who recognizes her may not live in California.
